Prayer for Anorexia Nervosa / Bulimia
Dear God, We come to You with hearts filled with compassion and concern for all who are suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and other eating disorders. You know their struggles, their pain, and the battles they face daily. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to restore both their bodies and their spirits. Grant them freedom from the thoughts and patterns that consume them. Lead them to see their worth and beauty, not through the lens of distorted views but through the truth of being created in Your image. Surround them with love, support, and the strength to take steps toward recovery, even when the path ahead feels overwhelming. Guide the hands and hearts of those who care for them—their families, friends, and healthcare professionals. Give these caregivers wisdom, patience, and tenderness as they walk alongside those in need of help and hope. Lord, bring peace to anxious hearts, nourishment to weary bodies, and clarity to clouded minds. Replace fear with trust, self-criticism with self-compassion, and despair with hope. May they know, deep within, that they are loved beyond measure and never alone. Walk with them as their healer, comforter, and guide. Amen.
