STEPS

1. Set some time aside to pray every day. It could be 15 minutes in the morning, right when you wake up, an hour of meditation in the evening, or any time you can get a break.
2. Know who you are praying to. It is a conversation and you just talk so it can be a casual hello or a cry for help.
3. Think about words to say, like "Thank you for..." "I'm sorry for..." and "Please help me to..." and fill in the rest. You don't have to use fancy words, just pray like you are talking to a friend.
4. Choose how you want to pray. You can say the words out loud, whisper them, or just say them in your head. You can kneel at the side of your bed, sit cross-legged, pray while you're taking a walk, lie down while praying, or virtually any other position.
5. There is no proper one way to pray.

 TIPS

1. The key to prayer is believing that whoever you pray to is always there to listen.
2. Also, allow yourself to simply talk as you would in conversation. Formality is not a necessity!
3. Make sure you are in a quiet and calming place to be able to pray without distractions, but if you are in chaos you can pray for calm.
4. The most important thing is being honest with yourself.
5. It may help to close your eyes.
6. Be humble. Be sincere and honest. Believe your prayer has power.
7. Remember that prayer is not just when you are asking for help. Prayer should also be a thankful, joyous sharing. Be sure to be thankful for all you DO have and for those around you.

1. Don't expect any or all of your prayers to be answered the way you want them to be. God knows your needs and will answer your prayers in the ways that are best for you.
2. There is some scientific evidence that prayers are answered  But be aware that not all things can be studied physically.
3. Don't be blasphemous, meaning do not pray one minute and then speak against what you have just prayed the next.
